Brooks Garcia
Plantsman and Garden Designer

Born in Atlanta in 1960, Brooks has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Georgia. He has travelled extensively in England, France and Italy studying classical garden design.

His company, Fine Gardens, strives to provide the finest in garden design and horticultural excellence. Brooks believes that the garden is more than the sum of its plants. It involves architectural elements, horticultural effects, water, ornaments and ethereal and esoteric ideals such as romance and mystery. Brooks believes that a garden is a personal place of refuge and should be a peaceful place in which one can retreat from the stresses of the day.

A lifelong interest in the natural environment and his love of horticulture led to an immediate friendship when Marney met Brooks at the Foxhall Flower Show in Atlanta in 2001. He has helped to plant both at Hampton Court and Chelsea Flower Shows in 2003 where he made a significant contribution to the Octopus' Garden.
